Il y est beau en ostie ce mecano la!
I am a CNC programmer in the aerospace industry for the last 15 years and nothing is wasted. We dont recycle our oils, fluids and metal swarf for environmental reasons, it is purely economical! At $2000 for a 55 gallon barrel of Blasocut and solid Aluminum scrap fetching a buck a pound we dont waste anything. even our worn carbide tools and inserts are recycled. we use the most energy efficient lighting and climate control possible. My job is to find the most efficient way to cut the part from billet to reduce its cost. Most environmentally conscious manufacturers save enough money reducing waste to make up for the expense of being environmentally friendly.
The important thing about getting girls into biking is to have realistic expectations. You dont fast ride like Peaty or jump like Bearclaw, so dont expect your girlfriend to ride like Tracy Mosely or Darcy Turrene. Take them out on a nice relaxed trail and enjoy the scenery and dont pressure them to ride faster or anything they arent comfortable with. Be patient and help them build skills.
I have done my part, My wifey loves a nice relaxing XC ride. I just dont expect her to ride boxcar or A-line. She will kick your ass in a sea kayak ans big waves though
Utah allows that.
My AM rig is running 1x10 with no lockouts on fork or shock and an old school seat post QR. 1 cable, 2 hoses, all I really need.
front shifter, rear shifter, rear brake, front brake, shock lockout, fork lockout, dropper seatpost control and now tire pressure! I run wide bars and dont think there is room for all this crap! how many hoses and cables does a bike need?
I just finished building my new 26er, and have been thinking that at 6’2’’ I should be runnning a 29er with 820mm bars. Then I starting oogling Moonlanders on the interweb. and the new Skye from inspired. Ride what you like and have fun doing it!
she is beautiful, she rides and she drives a Land Rover! I am in love!
